Striped Harvestman (immature)

Leiobunum vittatum

Description:

large common active species; long legs have black knees; body white with black stripes and spots about 5 mm; an arachnid but not a spider they have 4 pairs of legs

Habitat:

found in web (not its own because they have no silk glands, but maybe web of what it was eating?) on metal bridge railing over urban creek

Notes:

harmless - have no venom glands; 2nd pair legs like antennae sensitive to touch; can even smell and breathe through spiracles in their legs; Daddy Long Legs
