Description:

A specimen of the Abdim's stork at the Tulsa Zoo, pictured preening itself. The Abdim's stork is also called the white bellied stork and is one of the smallest storks. It is protected by African belief that it is a harbinger of rain and good luck.

Habitat:

Found in Central and Southern Africa.
