Uvularia perfoliata
Plant are one-branched. Flowers, approximately 1 inch in length, form at the terminus of the plant; the flower is on a pedicel (stalk) with a perfoliate bract, a bract that surrounds the pedicel. Petals are straight and not twisted.
Growing in a shaded location in a predominantly deciduous, hardwood forest, near a reservoir.
Flowers of the Perfoliate Bellwort are distinguished from those of the Large-flowered Bellwort (Uvularia grandiflora) by the fact that the petals of the Perfoliate Bellwort are straight; flowers of the Large-flowered Bellwort are twisted.
