Paropsisterna sp. (undescribed)
This beetle is a surprise, being an entirely isolated population in Western Australia and in the "hectica'' species group. It feeds on local eucalypts where no snow gums exist and has a red pronotum, unknown in the Paropsisterna hectica species. Superficially this is Paropsisterna hectica but circumstantially it is a new species. Morphometrics confirms an undescribed species. "West Australian gold".
