Coyote

Canis latrans

Notes:

The pair of Coyotes showed up again today, and this time I had a better plan to get their photos. I got up in my tree stand overlooking the wetland behind the house and both coyotes came out of the woods into the open in front of me. This is the smaller and lighter colored one.

Thanks Carol. After reading the info on the linked Wikipedia page, it sounds like the coyotes in the northeast US are thought to be a hybrid coyote/wolf.

Thanks Rieko, Fyn and Gilma. It was a little cool up in the tree, about 30F, but well worth getting the photos I wanted:-)

Nice series, Tom15.
It must have been cold up there on the tree!!.... the things that "we do" to see spottings a little closer!! Thank you so much for sharing.
