Yellow Spotted Moth

Syllepsis hortalis

Description:

Irridescent yellow moth with 4 brown spots on the wings. The abdomen is exceptionally long. About 1.4 cm long. Family Crambidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light, Finca Argovia, Ruta de Café, Soconusco Area of Chiapas, about 2 hours north of Tapachula.
