"The Australian Bustard is one of Australia's largest birds. It is a mainly grey-brown bird, speckled with dark markings, with a pale neck and black crown, with a slight crest and a white eye-brow. There are bold black and white markings on the wing. The female is slightly smaller than the male." (Birdlife Australia)

Great shots!
I was told by a ranger in kakadu that they are very curious birds and you can bring them in very close by lying on your back and waving your arms and legs in the air.
Not sure if its true or a good way to make someone look silly ;)
