Moth

Description:

Two different individuals of a black and brown banded moth with some blue-grey on the upper wings. The front pair of legs are long and hairy and held stretched out in front of the head. About 1 cm long.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light, Finca Argovia, Ruta de Café, Soconusco Area of Chiapas, about 2 hours north of Tapachula. About 800 meters.

Notes:

I believe this is the same species as in a spotting from the central mountains of the State (San Cristobal de Las Casas) at 2,200 meters. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/177....
