Brown-throated Sunbird

Anthreptes malacensis

Description:

This bird has a short yellow malar stripe which is not normal for this species. The bill size and shape along with the rest of the bird is good for Brown-throated Sunbird. Having seen this bird over 3 days it has not changed but I need to check back and see if it is on both sides or only one side. I am not aware of any other sunbirds having such a stripe.

Habitat:

Tropical rainforest.
