Description:

Semiaquatic turtle introduced to this area, probably through the pet trade as released unwated pets orignially. This species has established strong populations in many areas outside of its native range. It is considered an invasive species in many areas of the world and often outcompetes native species.

Habitat:

Freshwater lake bordering temperate forest. Rockwood Park, Virginia.
