Riptortus serripes is a kind of "broad-headed bug" of the Family Alydidae, "a family of true bugs very similar to the closely related Coreidae (leaf-footed bugs and relatives)."

Habitat:

Spotted on guava (?) in large semi-urban yard & garden adjacent to a disturbed patch of remnant forest in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.
