Golden yellow snake with brown checker pattern and white or grey color inside brown areas. About 3 feet long and 3-4" wide. Moving sideways, winding, across a road in a rural area (farm on both sides of the road). Not appearing aggressive, stopped moving as I moved closer, then slowly moved as I backed away. No sounds, hissing, etc.
