Great-crested Flycatcher

Myiarchus crinitus

Description:

I saw it on my porch in Cary, NC. I don't know its call, but I'm pretty sure it is some type of flycatcher. First time I have seen this bird, but it may have always been in hiding.

Habitat:

I live by a lake, with a tree border, but the lake itself and my backyard is pretty open.

Thank you so much! How can you tell which flycatcher species it is?

Nice shot! Their call, btw, is a fairly loud emphatic "Fweep!" with pairs often rapidly answering each other.
