Carolina Anole

Anolis carolinensis

Description:

Although I've never seen one this dark and dull of a brown before, it is the only anoles we have wild here that I know of. We're actually right on the edge of its natural range, it seems.

Habitat:

Found at the base of an oak in cold weather.

Notes:

Very dark color morph that I have not seen before.
