Description:

This animal has wings it also has a mouth which will take blood from your body. Mosquitos are only about one centimeter long that's about the length of the tip of a pencil!

Habitat:

In small dark places and by food for example a compost bin or by Rumpke bins.

Notes:

The female mosquito sucks blood from people and makes you itch at the spot of the bite. The female mosquito uses your blood to lay eggs. Written by group 9.

This small fly is a non-biting fly. It is called a Wood Gnat. They like to feed on decaying wood and vegetation and fermenting sap. I can see why you might be confused about what type of fly, since they do somewhat resemble mosquitoes. Very cool find! I have never seen one of these before.

We got it to stay still by it landed on a friends leg he tried to stay still so he wouldn't scare it.
