Ixobrychus exilis
Heron like water bird standing approx. 12-15 inches in height. Overall golden brown appearance to feathers with colors from creamy white to dark brown. Head is dark. Yellow to orange colored beak with a sharp point of 4 to 5 inches in length.
Manmade swampy everglades water area. Found in the undergrowth perched in amongst the branches.
