Congratulations on your SOTD! I've had the chance to become acquainted with a pair of these animals at a rescue sanctuary for exotic animals. They are carnivores but much prefer fruit (especially bananas and grapes).
Unfortunately, some people get them as pets because they look cute and cuddly but they are quite fierce, have very sharp claws and carry bacteria which are quite dangerous to humans when bitten (e.g., http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2011/...)
Congrats Juan, this cool encounter has earned you Spotting of the Day! The kinkajou looks like a small primate but is actually a close relative of the raccoon.

I know it looks scary, but is not opening the mouth as a threat, in fact it was a yawn. When I first spot it was still sleeping
