Snubnose Grouper

Epinephelus macrospilos

Description:

These groupers are arund 40 cm long and leopard-like spotted in a dark olive background. It is hard to tell it a part from the similar species E. quoyanus. E. macrospilus has a rounded tail but from this perspective is hard to tell. However I can see the white margin of the tail that I think is not present in the other sp.

Habitat:

Goby´s Rock, Lankayan, Sabah.
