Ganoderma curtisii
Two dessicated (hardened) wood-decaying polypores. Caps have shades of orange, brown, cream, and purple. Caps have cracked, lacquered (or matte) appearances. Stipes are deep brown to cinnamon colored (also lacquered). Undersides are cream to white with small, circular pores.
Growing on a dead hardwood (and its roots) at the top of a ridge in a dense mixed hardwood forest.
