Kelp Gull

Larus dominicanus

Description:

One of the only Larus gulls found on the Falkland Islands (and the only Larus gull I saw on the whole trip, actually). They were very common around Stanley. They have learned how to break open mussels by dropping them on the roads.

Habitat:

Found outside of Stanley, heading towards Whalebone Cove in the Falkland Islands.
