Found on our garage wall. This little guy was about 1/2 inch long and just teeny tiny.

Adorable! This little guy looks more like a mantis from Genus Stagmomantis. They tend to be a bit more mottled and/or striped (especially on the front legs).
There are a couple of species found in California and I am not as familiar with their ranges.
