Net-wing Beetle

Lyconotus lateralis

Habitat:

medows, woodland edges, hardwood hammocks.

Notes:

Spotted this fellow on a leaf while hiking through what I assume is an hardwood hammock type habitat that has grown on an abandoned elevated logging road cutting through a cypress swamp. The trail is called Gator Hook Trail at Big Cypress National Preserve.
