Description:

Photo take in my garden, a common plant in all Yucatan Peninsula consider a wild plant, is a bush like about 1 mt tall it´s flowers are bright red. leafs about 12-13 cm long.This tropical shrub is known for two attributes. First, the plant shows colors that would make any blaze proud.The flowers of the firebush are reddish-orange, small, and tubular. If pollinated, they are followed by a many-seeded berry which ripens black. The flowers are transient things opening around the middle of the night and wilting by midday.

Habitat:

Found on tropical and subtropical habitats.
