Tanaecia pelea
The Malay Viscount is a butterfly found in the nature reserves in Singapore, as well as in Malaysia and Borneo. It has a wingspan reaching about 65–70 millimetres. It is found close to forested areas.
Spotted along the path in the Butik Batok Nature Park, a former quarry with secondary rainforest regrowth.
The zigzag-shaped markings shows similarities to other species within the genus and also its related genus, Euthalia.
