Palicourea

Palicourea angustifolia

Description:

small woody shrub, light purple tubular flowers, this is a 2 in 1 spot - there is a spider in photos 2,3 and 4, that could use ID

Habitat:

cloudforest, 2200m

Notes:

I spotted this small bush while I was photographing an orchid. As with the orchid, the one flower that I was focusing on had an insect visit it at the same time. It was a small fly on the orchid and a spider on this flower. Not sure of a common name.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I can't recommend any resources, apparently it isn't that well studied. I also spotted this in Chicaque, looks like the same species.

Very cool. I observed something similar at Chicaque last week: http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/.... Can you recommend any resources for identifying species in this genus?
