Quick follow up: it flew away the next morning.

A friend called me up, because he heard a bird strike his window. I went over and it was on his deck. It was a more dazed before I arrived according to his daughter. It sat perfectly still, and I was maybe 6 to 8 feet away. I didn't want to disturb it. He did move a couple boxes around it to keep it hidden, but it didn't move an inch. We will let it sit, and we've contacted a local wildlife rehab center if it doesn't recover on its own.

How'd you get so close? Is it injured? Can you leave a little bit in the notes about this lovely spotting?
