About 15 cm high, succulent type kind of leafs. Grows in a bushy kind of way. Family PORTULACACEAE

Habitat:

Rocky area close to a small river (Python Pool, Mlawula Nature reserve)

Notes:

Not endemic to Southern Africa

Oh that was interesting to read. I think it was lucky that I got it right thoug, because I think the scientific orders can be a bit tricky to understand sometimes, especially in english... Do you have a link/photo of your Portulaca?

Eu tenho portulaca no meu jardim, e me confundi com o nomes porque fiz uma pesquisa rápida e mal feita: Portulaceae, Portulacaceae. Aqui nesse site: http://www2.ib.unicamp.br/profs/volker/p..., diz que Portulaceae é uma família, e tem um exemplo de espécie: Portulaca striata. Mas o nome correto da família é Portulacaceae. Wikipedia (em Português) diz que Portulaceae é uma ordem, isso não é verdade. Outros sites dizem que é uma tribo. Me desculpe. Ainda bem que você escreveu beeeeem grande nas descrições. PORTULACACEAE. Isso foi exatamente para eu ver meu erro? Hahaha
