Snout Moth

Entometa chlorosacca

Description:

A pale yellow moth with long tented wings that had a tinge of brown along the trailing margin. The fore wings appeared to flare out past the costa and showed a faint dark spot in the middle of the wing. Mouth parts were drawn out like a snout. Antennae were feathery. Wingspan about 50 mm.

Habitat:

Spotted under bright lights near a sports field bordered by native trees.
