Willow Tree?

Description:

Whatever this is, it's an Evergreen. I found a tiny, round, dark purple fruit on it into Winter. I dont recall seeing flowers, so they must be small and inconspicuous. Grows very slowly

Habitat:

Shaded wood area.

Added some new information about this. Went on a plant forum and nobody there could id it, so it's a real mystery!

Not sure what, but definitely not a willow.

Sure about the willow part? Its compound leaf...but it seems reminiscent of a shrub not a tree...
