This was an amazing sight. There were at least 30 sea lions gathered together forming what looked like a living raft. Some were sleeping, others playing. Many of them were floating with one flipper in the air as if to stabilize the raft. Some were swimming in and out of the raft. This was off the wharf in Santa Cruz.
