Photinus
Firefly, a nocturnal type of soft bodied beetle. Seen during Summer with a yellow-green flash of light. Larvae eat worms and snails, adults may also eat small worms.
Fields,yards,woods.
This is a male and female, some females have no wings in other species. Lights may affect breeding by fooling females into thinking the lights are large males, this has affected their population in urban areas.
