@Geodialist--I live in DC, actually, and work at National Geographic. I've been to ABWR but need to go again!
The Great Nature Project mission on Noah is part of the larger Great Nature Project that we're building here at NatGeo. Our idea is to try to collect as many nature photos from around the world. We'd love to collect thousands and thousands via Noah, but we're also giving people the option to participate via Twitter or Instagram Flickr, if they're more comfortable or familiar with those platforms. Or they can participate through NatGeo's photo community, Your Shot. Or kids can participate via the Kids My Shot program. We're hoping that we can convert some social media users to Noah users in the process!
All the Great Nature Project photos will be aggregated on http://greatnatureproject.org/ starting in July, and we'll do a bit campaign around it in September. Thanks for being part of it!
Lovely!
My pleasure, Mary! How is the "Great Nature Project" mission different from the overall mission of Project Noah? I infer you live in NoVA, right? Have you visited ABWR?
Love it--right in my neighborhood! And thanks for contributing to the Great Nature Project!!
Thanks to everyone for the "favorites" and kind words in your comments!
