Tropical Orbweaver

Eriophora ravilla

Description:

It was night time so hard to tell exactly and my flash I think made it brighter than it actually was...but..I would say..Brown and yellow with some red on its legs. Silver dollar size. The legs and body were spiny on the edges. The web was spun within hours because it wasn't there when left home. The web was very large and intricate.

Habitat:

The web was spun from a shed to the front door of the house in Metairie, LA.

Notes:

I wanted to get morning photos of this web and the spider but the bad weather we had last night obliterated it.
