Melanolophia

Melanolophia canadaria (Guenée, 1857)

Description:

About 3 to 3,5 mm although this should be a North American species, this one barged into our living room here in France in the Alps. Adults have dark brown or brown mottled wings. They are on wing from March to September in two generations per year.

Notes:

Not sure I made a correct identification of this moth, but that's the closest match I could find.
