anolis sagrei
Brown anole (male) The brown anole is native to cuba but has been introduced to south florida and south geogia through pet trade. The brown anole is a species in the anole family related to the green anole (its native cousin) The brown anole has taken over florida. Brown anoles feed off mainly small bugs. They are almost entirely brown with a red throat flag or doolap and they are about 5-6 inches long. They reproduce like most lizard through eggs. It does not make any form of nest but they do have territorys wich the guard. I did not use any website to find about this animal past expieriance was all that was used.
Invasive from cuba but have been introduced through out florida and south georgia.
Have been seen in the past on s.d. spady campus.
