scorpion

Description:

Scorpions are arachnids with grasping claws and a segmented tail curved on an end which may sometimes have a stinger. In this particular case the female scorpion is not poisonous. In this case it is a european scorpion which arrived on a ship to Uruguay and notified its presence on board. Nevertheless, Uruguayan scorpions are also not poisonous and, as most arthropods, are scared of human beings. They eat other small invertebrates, this one in particular tends to eat pillbugs.
