Giant Leopard Moth

Description:

Identification: Spotted moth easily recognized by the white wings with hollow bluish black spots on the forewing. Black shading along inner margin and terminal spots near apex of hindwing. Wings tend to become translucent toward outer margins with wear. Wing Span: 5.7-9.1 cm.

Habitat:

This moth came to the light coming through the second story windows off our upper deck.
