Proteuxoa tortisigna
A small, attractive moth about 16mm long, mostly dark brown, with a pale buff, straight, thick line on the costal margin, two very white small punctuation marks inside that and a light tan coloured furry collar. This one looks to be female.
This small moth pounced on me in a darker area of the local school grounds at night. Not attracted to lights?
Also called the 'Streaked Rictonis Moth' the larvae feed on poaceae.
family :NOCTUIDAE
