Fisera eribola
This grey moth had a wing span of about 50 mm. The shiny grey wings showed flecks of black with two narrow smudged sooty black wavy lines across the wings. Wings veins were pale brown as were the thin antennae. The head was a buff colour with a low profile forward pointing crest. At rest the moth curled its wings around its body. Eyes were grey with black spots.
Spotted under bright lights near a sports field - native trees around. Species has been spotted in the Australian Capital Territory and Victoria.
My thanks to Peter Marriott for the ID
