cicada

Description:

the largest cicada I have ever seen, more than 7.5cm (3"), scale in photos #2 and 3

Habitat:

tropical rainforest

Notes:

This cicada was attracted to the lights of the hostel in Tawau hills park. It was moving too much, it would bump into a few lights and then stay still for a long time. I took the opportunity to do my first cicada facebug with it, which wasn't easy, but it was fun.
