Green Hellebore

Helleborus viridis

Description:

Green hellebore is a perennial flowering plant in the buttercup family, Ranunculaceae. Flowers occurs early in the season, in February - March, so in June fruits are well formed (as seen in photos).

Habitat:

The plant os native to Central and Western Europe. This one observed on Alpine pastures of Jura Natural Reserve.

Notes:

All parts of the plant are poisonous.
