Description:

Summer (breeding) plumage shown here is the same for both male and female. The tufts along the side of the face do resemble "horns" when ruffled. Folk names include Devil-Diver, Pink-Eyed Diver and Hell-Diver.

Habitat:

Spotted in the Shark River (along the Jersey Shore)
