Eumenes sp.
red body color, around 2 cm length, This species is flying and drinking water in the small pond.
In the guest house area near Mae Ngat Dam, Chiang Mai, Thailand.
right, MartinUrban, genus level is appropriate. thank again for your kindly advice.
although the coloration is differently and e.latreilli lives in australia, they could be closely related to each other indeed !
Thank you for additional detail MartinUrban. I seek for additional detail, this might be orange potter wasp, (Eumenes latreilli)
no sorry the eumenes is solitary too but in each pot is only one single chamber ... delta builds several chambers ...
delta are solitary / the elongated mandibulae can be found in several eumenes species !
Thank you John La Salle, Hymenoptera is one of the hard identification group.
Possibly Delta rather than Eumenes. I am not too clear on the differences between these two genera.
