Description:

Solitary kleptoparasitic or brood parasitic bees, of the family Megachilidae, that lay their eggs in the nests of bees of the genus Megachile. Hairy eyes. The abdomen is banded and conical, pointed in female, armed with teeth or spines in male. They lack pollen baskets under abdomen, otherwise resemble a Megachile. Adults take nectar at flowers.

Habitat:

Spotted close to the sea, open land with meadows and bushes.
