After hours of looking, I believe it to be the misleading cousin, the FALSE black widow! I'll put down the suggestion, look here - http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/arch...

That might be a black widow based on the body structure too they are very dangerous!

Thanks Austin, yes, it did have a brownish hue & had no red hourglass shape on its belly, but it did resemble a widow to me as well...

I'm no expert, but it does resemble a black widow, from my screen it looks like it has a brownish tint, so I'm not 100%. Nice spot though!
