Marsh Wren

Cistothorus palustris

Notes:

There were Marsh Wrens protecting territory all around the wetlands today. There were 3 nests on one reed island being protected by one very vocal, aggressive Marsh Wren. Typically, they build several nests and the female choses which one she will use. Great fun watching the interactions between the males on territory.
