I did some Googling after this piqued my curiosity, and I think it's mare's tail (or less prettily, horsweed). Looks close to goldenrod, but with a bushier radiating top.
I think it's goldenrod, a species of Solidago.
Amen to identifying this! It's everywhere yet I don't know what it is.
