White Mangrove

Laguncularia racemosa

Description:

One of the three true mangrove species in Florida. Along with the other mangroves it provides a nursery for many animals including sharks.

Habitat:

Along the brackish water with Red Mangroves, Black Mangroves, Spartina spp, and more.

Notes:

Picture was taken along the Black Point Trail of Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge in Titusville, FL.
