Gulf Coast Toad

Incilius valliceps

Description:

Found these two individuals under the same rock in my backyard. They are large toads with a mostly dark back with a light dorsal stripe. There is also a light dorsolateral stripe on each side, with a darker line just beneath it. The cranial crests are also very dark and make a dish shape between the eyes.

Habitat:

Under a rock next to my house, mostly oak and pine trees around.
