Spotting

Description:

Shiny brown spider, similar in shape to the false widow but no markings.

Habitat:

Suburban gardens

Notes:

My mother keeps finding these in her bee hives, we're not sure what species it is or whether it is anything to be concerned about. Considering the state of the honeybee population over here we would welcome any comments.

Correction, it's a cupboard spider

The false black widow doesn't have the classic hourglass (as you stated it has no mark), so that's my best guess.
